Guides

Guides for people who run clubs

Short, plain articles on the questions a club owner asks before choosing software: how to run registration, how to leave a spreadsheet, how to get paid. They describe how clubs actually work, and where Gympillar does or does not help.

The five guides

Gympillar is made in Canada for clubs that teach in classes, and it is used by one club today. These guides say so where it matters. Where the product does not do something, the guide says that too.

  1. How to run class registration and a waitlist
Capacity, payment holds that release a seat, waitlist promotion, make-ups, waivers and sibling rates: what to decide before you open registration.
  2. How to move your club off spreadsheets
What to gather, what you rebuild by hand, how families are invited, and a first-week plan. Includes what the product does not import.
  3. CASL and privacy for clubs
Why email consent works differently in Canada, what clubs should record, and where software helps. Background, not legal advice.
  4. Term or monthly pricing for classes
How clubs choose between charging by the season and by the month, and what each does to cash flow and registration.
  5. Card and ACH payments for US clubs
How a US club collects from families by card and bank debit, and what is different from the Canadian setup.

Where to go next

If you want to see what the product covers, read the features overview. Many Canadian clubs are paid by Interac e-Transfer, and the e-Transfer page explains what can and cannot be automated. The pricing page sets out the plans, and you can book a demo to see a registration, a hold and a waitlist promotion on a working club.
